Feature film — 412 shots, CG & environments
Digital matte paintings and full 3D worlds — cityscapes, alien horizons and period recreations built to survive real camera moves.
An environment has to be believed in a single frame and still hold together when the camera moves. We choose the right technique for each shot — a painted 2.5D projection, a full 3D build or a hybrid — based on how the camera behaves, not on habit.
Our environment artists combine photography, photogrammetry and procedural tools to build worlds quickly, then dress them by hand to match the production design.
Environments are built once and shared across a sequence, so wide shots and reverse angles remain consistent.
Fixed review points at every stage, so you always know where each shot stands.
We read the script, bid every shot and agree budget and schedule up front.
Sequences are blocked in 3D so camera, lenses and timing are solved early.
Our supervisors capture HDRIs, lidar and reference so post runs smoothly.
Assets, FX and comps move through weekly dailies with your team.
Final EXRs in ACES, conformed and QC'd to studio and streamer specs.
Yes. We author environments for both offline rendering and real-time engines, so the same world can be used on set and in post.
It helps but is not essential. We can rebuild locations from photography and survey data when lidar is not available.
Send us your script, storyboard or rough cut. We reply within one working day with questions or a first bid.
