Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about quotes, repairs, replacements, storms and working with our team.

Quotes & Pricing

Yes. A standard inspection and written quote for repair or replacement work costs nothing and carries no obligation. Detailed pre-purchase reports are a separate paid service because they include a formal written report.

Most customers receive an itemised quote within 48 hours of the inspection. Larger commercial or multi-unit projects can take a little longer if we need to measure several roofs.

Every roof is different. “From” prices show where typical jobs start; your fixed quote depends on roof size, pitch, access, materials and the condition we find on inspection.

Repairs & Leaks

Move valuables away from the drip, place a bucket under it and, if water is near light fittings, switch off power to that circuit. Do not climb onto the roof. Call our emergency line and we will arrange a make-safe visit as soon as possible.

Often, yes. We only recommend replacement when repairs would no longer be cost-effective — for example when tiles are widely porous or sheets are rusted through. You will see photos of what we find so you can decide.

Water can travel a long way before it appears on a ceiling. We trace stains back through the roof space, check flashings, valleys and penetrations, and may run a controlled water test to confirm the source.

Replacement & Materials

Most homes take between three and seven working days depending on size, material and weather. We keep the roof weather-tight at the end of every day.

Both are good choices. Tiles offer a traditional look and good thermal mass; metal is lighter, quick to install and suits low pitches. We explain cost, lifespan, noise and heat performance for your specific home.

Yes, in most cases. If your property has heritage controls or is in an estate with design guidelines, check those rules before choosing a new colour or material.

Storms & Insurance

We provide a photo report and itemised quote that you can send to your insurer. Whether a claim is accepted depends on your policy, so we recommend speaking with your insurer early.

A make-safe is temporary work, such as tarping or securing loose sheets, to stop further damage until permanent repairs can be carried out.

Working With Us

Our crews hold the licences required for the work they carry out, and we carry public liability insurance. Ask for current certificates at any time — we are happy to provide them with your quote.

We work across Canberra and the surrounding region. See our service areas page for the districts we cover most often, or contact us to check your suburb.

Workmanship warranties depend on the type of work, from five years on repairs to fifteen years on full re-roofs. Manufacturer warranties on materials are passed on to you as well.
