Preparing Your Vehicle for a Professional Detail

You don’t need to clean your car before a professional detail. That’s our job. But a little preparation makes the appointment smoother and lets your detailer spend their time where it matters most.

Remove personal items

Please take out valuables, loose change, documents, sunglasses and anything else you’d rather not have moved. Empty door pockets, the glovebox and the boot if you’re booking an interior service.

Take out child seats

Child seats need to be removed so we can clean underneath and around them. If you’d like us to clean the seats themselves, let us know when booking.

Tell us about problem areas

Is there a stain you’re particularly worried about, a scratch you’d like assessed or a smell you can’t trace? Mention it in the booking form or at drop-off. It helps us plan the time and the right products.

Check access for mobile visits

For a mobile detail we need enough room to open all doors and walk around the car, and a surface where runoff can be managed. Some apartment buildings don’t allow car washing, so it’s worth checking first.

Allow enough time

  • Express washes: under an hour.
  • Full details: most of a day.
  • Paint correction and coating: one to three days, including curing time.

We’ll confirm timing when we reply to your booking request.

After your detail

Ask for aftercare tips, especially after a coating or sealant. Most coatings need to be kept dry and unwashed for a short period while they finish curing.

Ready? Request your appointment and we’ll be in touch to confirm.
