Most dull or "cobwebbed" paint is not faded at all. It is covered in thousands of microscopic scratches that scatter light. Paint correction carefully polishes away a tiny amount of clear coat to reduce those defects and restore clarity.

Before polishing we measure paint thickness at key points and run a test section to choose the least aggressive pad and polish combination that delivers a strong result. Deeper scratches that go through the clear coat cannot be polished out and will be pointed out at inspection.

Not always. Results depend on the paint and how deep each mark is. A one-step polish typically gives a large visual improvement; deeper defects may need a multi-step correction or touch-up.

Does polishing thin the paint?
