About the Studio

About the studio

A quiet room full of ink, paper and good conversation

Calligraphy started as one lettering artist and a borrowed table in Canberra. Today we are a team of four scribes who teach, design and write for couples, small businesses and anyone who still believes a handwritten word means more.

We work in Copperplate, Spencerian, Italic and modern brush styles, and we are happy to blend them into something that is entirely yours.

  • Wedding invitations, envelopes and seating charts
  • Logos, shopfront signage and menu boards
  • Live event lettering on bottles, perfume and gifts
  • Beginner to advanced classes in studio and online

How a commission works

From your words to finished ink

  1. Share your idea

Tell us the words, the occasion, quantities and your date using the enquiry form. That is enough to begin.

  2. Choose a style

Within two working days we send two or three hand drawn samples and a clear, fixed quote.

  3. We write it

Every piece is lettered in the studio on paper you approve, with ink colours matched to your palette.

  4. Delivered with care

Finished work is wrapped flat and posted, or collected from the studio. Digital files arrive the same day.
