It is the question we hear most. The answer comes down to the frame.
A kiln-dried hardwood frame with corner blocks and doweled joints will outlast three or four covers. Recovering it costs less than a new sofa of the same quality and keeps a bulky piece out of landfill.
A particleboard or staple-built frame is a different story. If it is cracked or loose, a new cover will not fix it, and we will tell you so.
Not sure what you have? Send us a photo of the underside and we will give you a straight answer.
