A blocked dryer vent is more than an annoyance. Lint is highly flammable, and when it builds up inside the vent run the dryer overheats, takes longer to dry each load and uses far more electricity than it should.
We disconnect the dryer, clean the transition hose and run a rotary brush system through the entire vent to the outside hood, removing lint, nests and debris along the way. We also check the hood flap opens freely and that the duct is not crushed behind the machine.
If your clothes are still damp after a full cycle, the top of the dryer feels hot or you notice a burning smell, it is time for a dryer vent clean. We recommend it once a year for most households.
